About the Joplin Area Beekeepers Association

The Joplin Area Beekeepers Association exists to support beekeepers in Joplin and the surrounding region. Our mission is to promote responsible beekeeping, strengthen the beekeeping community, and equip both new and experienced beekeepers with the knowledge they need to succeed.

Beekeeping is rewarding, but it comes with challenges that are easier to navigate with support. Our association includes experienced apiarists who are willing to share what they’ve learned and help beekeepers at any stage build confidence in their management practices.

We meet monthly, offer beginner and intermediate education, and maintain a network of beekeepers who collaborate, troubleshoot, and support one another throughout the season.
